Echuca Rural have one or more vacancies for a technician. Primary duties are to investigate and repair service related issues with a wide variety of agricultural machines including tractors, hay machinery and headers. Wage negotiation is dependent on qualifications and work experience but many of our techs earn $70,000 to $100,000 per year with overtime.

Echuca Rural have an excellent team of service staff, including managers and supervisors. Our goals are to provide our customers with the best service quality we can provide – our staff are very professionally motivated and enjoy a high degree of job satisfaction.

Experience with New Holland machinery (and Case equipment) is a huge advantage. As is being familiar with other brands of tractors, such as John Deere or Massey. Training is the best available – specific to New Holland (at Wagga TAFE) and our managers and supervisors are extremely well experienced local teachers. Technical Assistant/Assembler **** POSITION FILLED – OCTOBER 2021 ****

Echuca Rural is looking for an experienced, mechanical minded person who can fix and assemble, as well as attended to other jobs. This generally involves working at the Echuca Rural service location 8am to 5pm, with overtime as required.

This position involves:

  • Attend to assembly of new machines, repairs of new, used and client machines as required;
  • Attended to servicing of machinery, such as tractors, balers, and other types of machinery;
  • Attend to general office and yard duties that may include (but not limited to) cleaning, painting, minor repairs, assisting with other staff, assisting with basic parts duties, attending to fork lift duties, assisting with vehicle and machine escorts, washing machinery, attending to basic yard maintenance, plumbing, drainage and maintaining a presentable building and premise appearance;
  • Attend to General duties such as washing, cleaning, driving, loading vehicles, maintaining non-issued vehicles.
  • To maintain a current and suitable licence to drive or operate company vehicles or machinery;
  • To be available to work overtime, particularly during seasonal work, and may include Saturdays and/or Sundays and being available for “on call” duties if required.
